Hey! I’m Annabelle…
(Belle or Bella will also suffice!)
-I started my journey with photography over 9 years ago.
-I’m Australian born and raised, but relocated to Colorado in 2008.
-I am rather shy but I make up for it with my chatty and bubbly personality!
-I’m a complete dork and goofball at heart.
-I smile a lot, have impeccable manners, love all things vintage, make lame jokes, and never turn down coffee.
-I enjoy cooking, anime, stand up comedy, playing music at full blast, sci-fi, live music, video games, and curling up on the couch with my cats to catch up on some Fringe, Big Bang Theory, Community, and Castle.
Like many, I’m a little awkward when it comes to writing about myself. I prepare to go on a tangent about my life journey and discoveries and then come to realize that I have no idea where to begin. What on earth do people really care to know about me, anyway?
I was born during the (Australian) summer of 1986, and relocated 3 years ago from the gorgeous beaches of Melbourne, Australia to the breathtaking mountains of Colorado. I have ‘children’ in the form of 2 cats – Berkley and Eva. As you may have noticed, I enjoy blogging photos of them being the crazy, chaotic characters that they are. They make a mighty fine substitute for real children, at least for the next 5 or so years!

I started doing photography as a hobby back in 2002. At the time I was incredibly interested in web design, digital art, and photo manipulation. However, somewhere along those lines I decided to start using a webcam to take photos for my web art, and as my interest in photography grew I replaced one camera with another, slowly gaining access to better and better tools of the trade. From humble beginnings with a webcam, and eventually a cheap digital camera, I learned how to express my creative side and make the most of what I had at my disposal. After all, everyone has to start somewhere!
Eating out is high on the list of things I love to do. I have a total sweet tooth and a relentless appetite for all things tasty. Don’t be fooled by my 5’6 self – I will eat you under the table! I’m a self-proclaimed dork and goofball at heart – I like to think it’s part of my cheesy charm. I sometimes wish I was ‘cooler’ but then I wouldn’t be me, would I? :P
Lastly, I get asked often why I love shooting weddings so much. It’s a fairly simple question for me to answer, but to keep it short(er) and sweet – being a wedding photographer means getting to share in one of the most pivotal and memorable days of a couple’s life. It’s an absolute honor being trusted upon to capture the raw emotion and atmosphere of the day through images that are created to leave a lasting impression for years to come.
Love really is so precious and fragile – easy to love but hard to maintain. To see two human beings committing their hearts and lives to one another before their friends and families, is nothing short of amazing.
